HIP-3 deployers: current markets and the Ventuals shutdown

Why the deployer prefix matters, which specifications to read, and how to distinguish active markets from retired contracts.

Updated September 25, 2026

Start with the full market identifier

HIP-3 lets independent operators deploy perpetual markets on Hyperliquid. A full identifier such as io:OAI or xyz:SPCX includes the operator namespace. Similar asset names on different deployments can have different collateral, price references, margin rules and settlement terms. This review is dated September 25, 2026.

Entropy: io

Entropy operates the io deployment. Its current private-company markets include OpenAI OAI and Anthropic ANTH. Its architecture page identifies RedStone as the oracle-feed provider. That relationship does not make every contract’s mark identical to an external company valuation.

Read the OpenAI contract guide and Anthropic contract guide for current units and margin modes. The two contracts are separate from the former Ventuals markets.

trade[XYZ]: xyz

XYZ operates markets across equities, indices, commodities and other asset classes. Its specification index is the starting point for the reference asset, margin regime and external trading sessions. Current examples include listed SpaceX SPCX and Henry Hub natural gas NATGAS.

Do not apply a single operator-wide leverage cap or one stock’s oracle rules to another asset class. Contract parameters can change after launch and after corporate events. The public API supplies current metadata; the specification explains what those fields mean.

Ventuals: historical coverage only

Ventuals published a shutdown schedule for its markets in June 2026. Our September 25 API check found all vntl contracts delisted. Historical Ventuals articles remain available with a closed-market notice, but they are not current onboarding instructions.

The same check found retired contracts on other deployments too. A symbol remaining in an archive or a market selector does not by itself establish that new trading is available. Check the exact market’s live status before using an old guide.

How this site maintains the distinction

Reviewed guides cite primary specifications and date their contract checks. Event articles preserve the original market snapshot. Closed contracts stay in the historical archive, while the main guide directory promotes a smaller set of current routes. Corrections and AI-assisted production are explained on our methodology page.
